The short version

Cartfolio doesn't have user accounts, doesn't run analytics or ad tracking, and doesn't collect your name, email, or location. Your shopping list, cart, receipts, and history are stored only in the app's own storage on your device. There is exactly one feature that talks to a server: Weekly Deals, described in full below.

What stays on your device

These are stored locally on your iPhone, using standard iOS app storage, and are never uploaded anywhere:

If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it. There is no account to recover it from, because there is no account.

The one exception: Weekly Deals

The Deals tab shows real flyer prices pulled from local stores. To do that, the app requests that data from a server we operate, which in turn pulls public flyer listings once a day. Here's exactly what that involves:

This is also the only place ads or third-party services show up anywhere near this app, and even there, it's a data request you make, not an ad network watching you.

No ads, no analytics, no third-party trackers

Cartfolio doesn't include an advertising SDK, an analytics SDK, or a crash-reporting SDK that phones home with usage data. We don't know how you use the app beyond what Apple's own App Store Connect reports in aggregate (like install counts), and we can't see your list, your receipts, or your spending.

Changes to this policy

If this ever changes, for example if a future feature needs to send more than a postal code, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date above, and describe the new feature with the same level of detail as the Weekly Deals section.
